Andres Ponton started his career as an Industrial Engineer with Master’s degree in the Universidad de los Andes in 2005 at the British Petroleum Company (BP), where he held several positions in different teams such as finance, operations, presidency, joint ventures, logistics and commercial. After more than 10 years of working there, Mr. Ponton was appointed as CEO of VIDAGAS, the second largest company in the country in the distribution and commercialization of LPG. Currently he acts as the Shared Services Manager in Ecopetrol, which is the National Oil Company (NOC) of Colombia where he leads a team of more than 400 people and manages a budget over US$120m. His role is to add value to Ecopetrol´s group through the implementation of quality services in areas like finance, HR, logistics, operations, data management,  excellence center among others.
